Artist Park Young-keun (1966– ) is a mid-career South Korean Western-style painter who combines traditional oil painting techniques with the modern tool of a grinder to present paintings featuring dynamic and intense, thread-like images. He graduated from the College of Fine Arts and Graduate School at Seoul National University and served as a professor at Sungshin Women's University. He has continued to create original works on themes such as apples, landscapes, and figures, including a portrait of artist Han Kang.
